What can CLAIT do for me?
CLAIT proves you can use the main computer applications. The first level is
appropriate for individuals who have little or no experience with the Microsoft
Office suite of programs.
What does it involve?
Each CLAIT qualification level consists of five units. You've got the following
options:
Take units individually
Take units to work towards a nationally recognised IT award
(NVQ)
Choose a combination of units suitable for your needs.
You get a certificate for passing each unit - they
are worthwhile achievements in their own right.
Each level has one mandatory unit that you have
to study. The assignments are based on realistic scenarios so you can apply
your knowledge practically.

(New CLAIT)
Foundation level qualification to
bring confidence in IT
Level 1 in the national qualification framework - equivalent to
GCSE grades D-G and NVQ Level 1
Replaces old RSA CLAIT Stage 1
Mandatory core unit is Using a Computer
Additional optional units are Word Processing, Electronic Communication,
Spreadsheets, Databases, Desktop Publishing, Graphs and Charts, Computer Art,
Web Pages, Presentation Graphics, Computing Fundamentals,
Key Applications
